My name is Dave Evenson. I live in Northern Colorado where I work in the Data, Informatics and Systems Group at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. I discovered photography in 2007 when I purchased my first DSLR, a Nikon D80, and I've been taking photographs ever since.
I've never studied photography in a formal setting, and while I'm certain that would be beneficial, I learn best in "hands on" situations. One of the things I enjoy most about photography is that you're constantly learning - my techniques and processes are continually changing, and hopefully improving, as I gain more knowledge.
